REUNITED
words Carmel Rowley
I stand before you,
time blurs and fades.
The desert wind
blows toward me …
I am my past,
I am the Nile,
Giza, Saqqara,
the tombs of Tanis.
All that separates me
is my heartbeat.
I am
Salaa Sihr.
I wrote the words of ‘Reunited’ for an advertisement in 2008. I read them today and thought, how true, all that separates us all from the past, actually is our heartbeat. With a New Year fast approaching I decided this year to forget about making a New Years resolution. I’ve decided that we all have years that are full of happy and sad, good and bad, worries and joys. One’s heartbeat constantly pounds out messages to our brains to learn from the past?
Should we simply, ‘Choose well and make 2015 a great year.’ ~Dr Phillip Humbert
That’s my aim anyway …
Phillip Humbert talks about my favourite topic in his latest Tips, making the best life choices you can in 2015. They are great words I hope you’ll enjoy them.
“In 2015, live better than before. Choose your focus and be clear about your priorities. For most people, these might include spirituality or personal growth, time with loved ones, health, and perhaps business or career. If you have other choices, that’s fine, but clarity is key. You really can’t do it all, and I’m sorry to say, you really won’t live forever. So use this new year wisely. Choose well and make it a good one.”
