What was it they said in that movie, “build it and they will come,” that also  goes for, “give them what they want and they will come”.  All the talk about e-books, well, let me tell you, going by the steady stream of customers at “That Book Place” yesterday I now have no doubt the paperback is alive – still flourishing AND dearly loved by all ages.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to “meet the people” at the re-opening of “That Book Place” in Jimboomba, Queensland. I have absolutely fallen in love with this book store!  Not only is this shop charming but it’s full of interesting pre-loved bits and pieces all with their own story.

 Christina tells me this is the stores motto!

To add to the excitement, “That Book Place’s”  resident ghost decided it was not going to be left behind and made the move to the new store! This store offers a huge selection of new and previously owned books of every genre.

In between chatting with people I browsed the shelves and watched the store owner Christina Graham and her trusty right hand Maree enjoy the customers. They clearly made the needs of their customers a priority,  friendly and incredibly helpful both know and are just wonderful to chat with!  I wholeheartedly recommend “That Book Place” to any book lover! They manage to fit an amazing selection in their cosy confines.

Make sure you visit “That Book Place” if you’re passing through Jimboomba – you will not regret it … it’s exactly what a book store SHOULD be like.
