September Reader of the Month – Dale Waldron
Pearsons Statistic and Dale at Pearsons View
It’s wonderful to have our long and dear friend Dale Waldron of Cearadale Arabians, as September Reader of the Month.
Both Dale and I celebrated milestone Birthdays this year and as I think back to 1989 and meeting Dale for the first time I wonder where the years have gone. More importantly, I remember all the enjoyable conversations, the laughter, the support and at times the bumpy and testing road of joy mixed with sadness. Twenty four years of friendship, a true blessing. Marie Hartwell-Walker. ED.D. describes the friendship road perfectly …
“Real friends are obligated to each other in a meaningful way. To be a friend is to accept the gift of another’s trust with the appreciation and trustworthiness such a gift deserves. It requires the willingness to devote time, energy, and thought to the other person’s needs and desires as well as to our own. The reward is a rich and satisfying relationship that can last a lifetime.”

Favourite Authors – The two R’s – Matthew Reilly and Carmel Rowley. Growing up I loved Elyne Mitchell and her Silver Brumby Series, Walter Farley and his Black Stallion books and also Mary O’Hara for My Friend Flicka, Thunderhead, and Green, Green Grass of Wyoming. A treasured book is my book of Thunderhead (it still has part of its original dust cover) which was my grandfathers.

Is there something you would like to share with us about your breeding program and some of the things you enjoy?
After 29 years of breeding Arabians the love for the Arabian breed is still strong, Our foundation was the elegant Ralvon Pilgrim mare Arjai Lucinda, purchased from Pearsons View Arabians. Our foundation lines are based on the Egyptian/Russian lines of Pearsons View Arabians stock. The stallions the stud have owned over the years were all bred by Pearsons View Arabians. We are proud of the fact that all our breeding age mares carry the “Cearadale” prefix.
Our next step in the breeding program is incorporating the blood of Ali Jamaal, with the purchase of the weanling colt Chelleason Elkhaan (Saudi el Perseus imp Brazil x Europa SPA). We look forward to see these results in the years ahead.
An exciting new beginning for Cearadale Arabians “Chelleason Elkhaan” with breeder Michelle Thomas
Life is precious and family is high on my list and I enjoy spending time with my family – my girls certainly keep me young! Married to Leesa for 22 years, I have one amazing wife, mother and friend. Over the years we have sure been tested as we travelled life’s mountains and valleys together, and I sure there will be many more years ahead.
In life, I have found that faith is the essential ingredient and it is no coincident that our youngest daughter is called Faith. “Fear knocked at the door, Faith answered, and lo, no one was there! (Author Unknown).

My pleasure Dale, we feel exactly the same. I’m working on it – the next book I mean;-) In fact I seem to be alternating between a new Danika and Yatimah and an adult mystery. Always lots to write about. Thank you so much for your support of my books and writing I really appreciate it. If I didn’t have supportive people like you it would be impossible for me to continue with this writing journey. xoxo

Oh Carmel, just saw the refence to Bethany (made me cry, we miss her so much), don’t know why I missed the butterfly the first time I read the blog. Thank you xoxox

Dear Dale, I’m so glad you loved it – I couldn’t believe that I actually lost the picture the first time the blog went up. I was in such a hurry as the Internet had been so difficult all week. I didn’t realise it wasn’t there until yesterday when I fixed it. I adore the photograph that you took of Bethany, Don, Hannah and I when you visited the last time but I had that photograph of the butterfly, I took it some years ago and decided it was the one. xoxox
