READER OF THE MONTH:

October reader of the month is Lois Hulst-Carins. I met Lois at the Lockyer Valley Horse Expo, where she was representing Henzells Rural. It didn’t take long to realise we had a lot in common.

As a real estate agent for Henzell’s Rural Mooloolaba, Lois specialises in horse properties. She’s been involved with horses from a very young age and has owned and developed several horse properties, in around the Sunshine Coast area. On a recent study tour of several of the best Horse Training Facilities in Europe, including Celle State Stud in Germany and the historic Marbach Stud, Lois came home with a new perspective while agreeing the experience added enormously to her knowledge. There is no doubt Lois loves horses, her enthusiasm is infectious. Her twin daughters, both of whom were born very prematurely and with some consequent disability, also share their mothers passion, with one of the girls becoming an accomplished Dressage rider. 1) I believe in seeing the goodness in all and try to live positively and have gratitude for all things in my life and nature.
2) I am in gratitude to my husband Sean he is the love of my life and my soul mate
3) I adore my pets… I have 3 cats, 2 dogs and 1 horse, they all contribute to my life and give unconditional love….sometimes my horse gives me a hard time!
4) Self examination and the truth are my highest ideals
5) My goal is to be aware and present in my life, to be a positive contribution in all situations with my family, my friends & my work..

Reading is one of my pleasures in life , I have been reading mainly personal growth books, I had the good fortune to meet Carmel at a Horse Expo and bought her book , now I am thoroughly engrossed in ‘Tails Carried High’. Can’t wait to read the second book in the series ‘Voices in the Wind’
