“If the mortality rate seems high we must realize that Nature is a ruthless teacher. There are no second chances in Mother Nature’s Survival Course.”
William S. Burroughs quote
As the clean up at our farm begins we realise Mother Nature always has the upper hand, whether a natural disaster or human interference she occasionally shakes her fist and declares herself queen!
Monday at Pearsons View Arabians (Stud owned by Carmel Rowley and husband Don) – Toowomba – Queensland – Australia
The normally gentle Spring Creek turned into a torrent flooding the lower paddocks.
Horses and people all fine just amazed at the volume of water.
Toowoomba city was inundated by what was called an ‘inland tsunami’ and following this the Lockyer Valley then Brisbane faced devastating circumstances like they had not seen for decades.

I am in awe of the difference in your paddocks – no way to describe what has happened other than “terrifying”. It is such a miracle that all are fine – so happy nothing bad happened.
