One thoughtful gesture …
Kindness, like a boomerang, always returns, I don’t know who wrote this but it’s so true. Do you ever get an urge to do something for a person you don’t know? You know the instant message that pops into your head! Or do you sometimes have a friends name stay on your mind as if the Universe is reaching out to you to say he or she needs you? Every day we’re given the opportunity to do at least one thoughtful gesture for the people around us. Some of these people we will never see again, while others we know and care about.
But if you have ever had someone do you a heartfelt favour, or even just smile at you when your day has presented one problem after another you know that one small, thoughtful gesture can make your day. So here are some suggestions to make someone else’s day …
1. Smile and say “Good morning” to a person standing next to you in the elevator or anywhere else you may be travelling.
2. Say “I love you” to someone you love.
3. Take a minute to direct someone who is lost, even though you’re rushing.
4. Encourage someone who seems despondent. .
5. Offer help for an elderly neighbour, especially in extreme weather.
