Carmel woke to the rumble of thunder and hoped it wasn’t a bad omen. Willa was now far away and there was no email to say that the treasure was definitely found. It was all so depressing – and where was the Christmas crow when you needed it?
The rain poured down as  Carmel went about her usual routine – the hours passed and finally just as she decided to recheck her emails  the telephone rang …  There was a faint voice on the other end of the line… after several hellos Carmel realised it was Willa!  ‘It’s okay,’ she said. ‘I have the treasure!!!  BUT I very nearly missed it…’  All this time the treasure was hiding under a tree in the snow at the end of the driveway. Willa told Carmel that the Christmas crow had repeatedly squarked outside the window annoying her so much she decided to take the flashlight and find out what all the commotion was about!  So she checked all down the driveway again….  And as if by magic there it was – three boxes of treasure. Carrying the treasure inside Willa could hardly contain her excitement! She opened the first box to reveal the result of so much worry and everyones hard work...
