Melbourne is celebrating Cadel Evans winning the Tour de France by welcoming him home with a victory parade down one of Melbourne’s most iconic strips.
Thousands of Melburnians have filled Federation Square to welcome Cadel Evans back to Melbourne.
Stepping off his aeroplane at Melbourne airport, Cadel Evans told the waiting media pack that it was a long trip home but he’s happy to be here.
